Three Tritons earn ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large honors
Three UC San Diego student-athletes were selected to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII team announced on Thursday. Joe Woodring of the Men's Water Polo team, Emily Harlan of the Women's Swimming team and Megan Hatlen of the Women's Crew all earned the Academic All-District honors and are now placed on the Academic All-American ballot. All three student-athletes are seniors, as Woodring has a 3.85 GPA in Political Science/Law and Society, Harlan has a 3.71 GPA as a Psychology major and Hatlen has a 3.85 GPA in Bioengineering/Bio-tech. || CONTINUE
Rosanna Delurgio Qualifies for her second Olympic Trials
Rosanna Delurgio, former Triton swimmer and current assistant coach of the UC San Diego men's and women's swimming teams, finished sixth at the USA Swimming Spring Championships in East Meadow, New York. Her finishing time of 1:12.08 qualified her for her second Olympic Trials. Delurgio currently owns several UCSD school records including a time of 23.31 in the 50 free, a 50.56 in the 100 free and 200 breast time of 2:13.80, all set in the 2005 season. In the 2003 season, Delurgio set a record of 1:01.88 in the 100 breast. She is also part of all five Triton record holding relay teams. || CONTINUE
