Cameron Sprowles earns an 11th-Place Finish at the NCAA Championships in Madison
Cameron Sprowles of the UC San Diego men's fencing team finished in 11th place at the NCAA Fencing Championships in Madison, New Jersey on Friday evening. Sprowles earned 11 victories as a foil specialist, finishing just out of the top-10. As UCSD's lone representative, Sprowles earned 11 points for the team, as the Tritons finished in a tie for 16th in the Nation. The NCAA women's fencing championship takes place on Saturday and Sunday. UCSD will be represented by Jen Chun, who is the Triton women's lone representative. || CONTINUE
Cameron Sprowles in 14th-place after Day One at the NCAA Championships
Cameron Sprowles of the UC San Diego men's fencing team is in 14th place of the 24 individuals in the men's foil competition after the first day at the NCAA Championships in Madison, N.J. Sprowles, a junior, won the Men's Foil competition at the NCAA West Regional Tournament last weekend in La Jolla. Sprowles is just out of the top-10, having six victories on the day. There is a six-way tie for eighth-place with seven wins apiece. The men's competition will conclude tomorrow, and the women's two-day competition will begin on Saturday.
