After missing time due to injury, made second start in series finale at Cal Poly Pomona (3/21) and went a scheduled two frames (3 H, R, BB, SO) ... Out for remainder of season ... AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2015
Drew 19 appearances, all but one in relief ... Allowed just eight earned runs out of 14 ... Did not surrender a run in 10 of 19 outings, including last three, all at the NCAA West Regional (5.0 IP, 0 H, BB, 6 K) ... Made college debut in season opener vs. Western Oregon (2/1), throwing the ninth inning and combining with two teammates on the four-hit shutout victory, 4-0 ... Struck out first batter he faced on three pitches ... Went a season-long 3.2 innings in first career start vs. Point Loma (2/17), allowing just an unearned run ... Twice struck out a season-high four ... Fanned four over 3.0 shutout frames for his second save to open doubleheader at Cal State Stanislaus (4/18) ... Pitched for the North Adams (Mass.) SteepleCats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) during the 2015 summer ... Went 1-2 with a 3.06 ERA, one save, 20 strikeouts, eight walks and 39 hits allowed over 15 appearances, five of them starts, and 32.1 innings ... SteepleCats (24-24) snuck into NECBL playoffs as fourth and final team from Northern Division, and advanced one round before having their season ended with 4-0 defeat in series-deciding Game 3 of North finals at top seed Vermont (8/8) ... Final two outings for North Adams were his best, as he started and went 5.2 frames in back-to-back 5-4 victories on July 31 (W, 2 ER, 7 H, BB, 2 SO; shutout through four) to help SteepleCats clinch postseason berth, and again on Aug. 5 (ND, ER, 2 H, 2 BB, summer-best 4 SO; shutout through five) in decisive Game 3 of divisional semifinals ... Pitched for the Santa Paula Halos of the California Collegiate League (CCL) during the 2014 summer, picking up one save among three appearances (1.80 ERA, 10.0 IP, 10 H, 0 BB, 6 SO) ... Drew a start vs. Los Angeles Brewers (6/21) and went 5.0 frames, allowing a single run on six hits and no walks with two strikeouts ... Played for the Blue Wave 18U team from 2011-13.
