Alex Pappas started at UC San Diego in June of 2015 as a graduate intern in Compliance and was elevated to Compliance Coordinator during the summer of 2016. He is responsible for compiling rules education materials for coaches and students to ensure proper knowledge of guidelines set by the NCAA in athletics operations and student affairs.
Before coming to San Diego, Pappas worked as a compliance intern for UC Irvine, providing administrative support to the compliance department and coaching staff. His duties also required him to track student eligibility requirements to participate in athletics.
While attending his now alma mater, UC Santa Barbara, he worked for the UCSB Department of Recreation as both a special events student manager and a night/day supervisor.
Pappas graduated UCSB in June of 2011 with a BA in history and a minor in sports management. He later went on to earn his juris doctor from University of California, Hastings College of Law and a master's degree in sports management from the University of San Francisco in 2016.
