Andrew Sklar joined the UC San Diego Athletics program in June of 2016 as a graduate compliance intern, and transitioned to the role of student-athlete development coordinator ahead of the 2017-18 academic year.
In 2014, before coming to UCSD, Sklar worked as a portfolio analyst for HarbourVest Partners in Boston, gathering, analyzing and reconciling information regarding different partnership investments. His duties also required him to conduct research and analysis of investments in private companies.
He had worked as an alternate investments hedge fund administrator for ALPS Fund Services, serving as the main contact for several hedge fund clients his company was working with.
Sklar is a 2013 graduate of Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., earning his BS in economics-finance and entrepreneurial studies. He was also a member of the football program there. In June of 2017, Sklar completed his MBA in sports management at San Diego State University.
