Former Triton standout Drew Dyer was named a volunteer assistant coach with the men's basketball program in September of 2016.
One of the most prolific players to ever don a blue and gold jersey, Dyer was a two-time All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) selection and earned NABC and D2CCA All-West Region distinction as a senior.
A four-year starter at forward, Dyer concluded his UC San Diego career with 1,333 points and 563 rebounds. Over 108 games, he averaged 12.3 points and 5.2 boards.
In the school's Division II (since the 2000-01 season) career record book, Dyer ranks in the top 10 in points, scoring average, field goals (449), field goals attempted (975), three-pointers (239), three-pointers attempted (592), three-point percentage (.404), free throws (196), free throw percentage (.810), rebounds (563), rebounding average, assists (139), games played, games started (105), minutes (3,279) and minutes average (30.4).
His point total is the 10th-most in program history, while his rebound mark is eighth.
Dyer graduated from UCSD in 2016 with a degree in communication. He is a 2011 graduate of Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado.
