Softball Coaching Staff

Carly Mitchell was named an assistant coach with the University of California San Diego softball program in January of 2017.

Mitchell played softball at San Diego Mesa Junior College from 2011-13, where she helped her team win Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) championships in 2012 and 2013. As a shortstop, Mitchell received All-PCAC First Team honors in 2012 and All-PCAC honorable mention in 2013.

From 2014-15, Mitchell played at California Collegiate Athletic Association foe Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson, where she picked up the team's Defensive Player of the Year and Heart and Hustle awards in 2015.

A native of San Diego, Mitchell earned her associate's degree from San Diego Mesa in 2013 and her bachelor's degree in business administration from Cal State Dominguez Hills in May of 2015.
