W Water Polo Coaching Staff
Jenna Williamson
Assistant Coach
Associate Head Coach Jenna Williamson is in her eighth season with the women's water polo team in 2017.

Williamson joined the program in 2010 after coaching water polo and swimming at her alma mater, Newport Harbor High School, where she assisted the girls program to a CIF title in 2008.

Williamson helped lead the Tritons to tie their most wins in the program's 30 year history as UCSD posted a 28-11 record in 2016. Additionally, the Tritons claimed its fourth Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) title in the past five years and went on to match a program-best sixth place finish at the 2016 NCAA Championships.

In 2013, the Tritons finished sixth at the NCAA Championship in a 26-15 season. It marked the highest national finish as a program.

In 2012, the Tritons finished runner-up to Loyola Marymount in the WWPA Championships, narrowly missing out on their second straight conference title. UCSD finished the season at 21-14 overall.

During her second season as assistant coach in 2011, Williamson helped guide the Tritons to a WWPA title and the team's first-ever appearance at the NCAA National Championships. UCSD finished in seventh-place at the tournament and ended the year with a No. 14 national ranking.

In her four seasons as a UCLA student-athlete, Williamson helped capture three consecutive NCAA titles from 2005-07, including UCLA's historic 100th NCAA Championship title during her senior year.

During her freshman year, she led the team in assists, with 31, and had the second-most steals on the team, with 41. Williamson continued to compete for the remaining three seasons, finishing with 23 goals, 40 assists and 60 steals. Highlights from her senior year included four goals against Pacific and All-Academic Team accolades for outstanding efforts in the classroom.

Prior to Williamson's collegiate career, she was a standout high school water polo player for Bill Barnett at Newport Harbor. She was named to the National Youth Team in 2002 and 2003 and earned a trip to Australia to compete internationally.

Williamson graduated from UCLA with a degree in sociology.
