Yang began her first year as an Assistant Athletics Trainer at UCSD in 2007, joining Head Athletics Trainer Kevin Messey and Assistant Athletics Trainer Tosh Tepraseuth. The UCSD Athletic Training Staff works hand-in-hand with Triton student-athletes to prevent athletic related injuries while also diagnosing and rehabilitating those who are injured while competing in intercollegiate athletic events.
Prior to joining the Triton family, Yang served two years as the head trainer for the Club Sports program at UC San Diego. She was the go-to person for the 17 club sports teams on the La Jolla campus, utilizing the intercollegiate athletics training facility as her home base. Additionally she has spent time at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., and at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Yang received her undergraduate degree from Penn State before working on her Athletic Training graduate degree at the Arizona School of Health Sciences. While working on her graduate degree in Arizona, she worked as a Graduate Assistant at Grand Canyon University where she worked with all 10 of the Antelopes’ athletic programs.
During her time with the United State Olympic Training Center, Yang spent time working with athletes in several sports, including wrestling, gymnastics, weightlifting and speed skating.
