LAS VEGAS, Nev. ? The UC San Diego diving teams took part in the 22nd-annual UNLV Winter Invitational on December 15-16 on the Runnin' Rebels campus. The Tritons sent both their men's and women's divers and came away with strong results. On the men's side, Andrew Skewes recorded a fourth-place finish on the three-meter board while Kevin Sullivan also notched a top-10, finishing in eighth-place. Skewes led the Tritons on the one-meter board, finishing with a score in eighth-place. On the women's side, Amanda Mason was UCSD's top finisher in 14th-place, while Nicole Stasio took 11th-place on the one-meter board.
In addition to Skewes and Sullivan's top-10 finishes on the three-meter board, Jeff Bryant finished in 17th-place while Aaron Cantu notched a 19th-place finish. On the one-meter board following Skewes' eighth-place finish was Bryant in 13th, Sullivan in 15th and Cantu in 16th.
On the women's side, Stasio finished in 20th-place on the three meter board. On the one-meter board, Jennifer Lappe finished at No. 14 while Mason came in at No. 18.
The UC San Diego swimming and diving teams return to action on Friday, January 4 when it hosts the Air Force men's team and UCLA women's team at Canyonview Pool.
