AS A JUNIOR IN 2010: Competed in six of UCSD's eight events... Was the Tritons' fifth finisher at the Asics/UC Irvine Invitational, placing 57th overall with a time of 26:37.0... Recorded a time of 26:39.1 and finished in 11th place at the Bronco Preview Meet... His time of 26:40.8 at the CCAA Championships was good enough for 35th place.

Appeared in five of the team’s six events on the season… Finished sixth overall in UCSD’s season opener, crossing the finish line with a time of 23:13.0… Placed 35th at the CCAA Championships in McKinleyville with a time of 27:16.6… Named the most improved runner on the men’s team after the season.

Ran in three events as a freshman… Opened his collegiate career with a strong showing, finishing 16th overall in the Point Loma/USD opener… Clocked in with a time of 35:44.3 at the UCSD Triton Classic, which was good enough for 48th place.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Calif… Team captain of both the cross country and track and field squads… Helped guide the team to its first Moore League Championship in 16 years as a sophomore in 2006… Lakewood went on to the CIF Division I Finals that year, making its first CIF appearance since 1984… A three-time all-league first team selection in cross country and member of the Long Beach Press Telegram’s Cross Country Dream Team in 2007 and 2008… Holds personals bests of 15:29 in the 5k, 15:16 in the three mile, 4:25 in the 1600, and 1:56 in the 400.

PERSONAL: Born February 27, 1990 in Torrance, Calif.… Parents are Oscar and Marcy Heredia… Has a younger brother named Rob… His hobbies include taxidermy, baking, modeling and chocolate making… Teammate Alex Corliss is his favorite athlete… Roots for the L.A. Dodgers and Lakers, New Orleans Saints and FC Barcelona… Juno is his favorite flick… Rebecca Black's "Friday" is playing on his iPod at the moment… Would have to go with fish tacos if he had to choose one meal for the rest of his life… Is a Physiology and Neuroscience major in Warren College… Also pursuing a minor in Psychology… Aspires to become a sports medicine physician working in profressional sports.
