AS A FRESHMAN IN 2009-10: Competed at the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championships in Canton, Ohio, helping the Tritons to an eighth-place finish in the 800 free relay with a 1:56.22 split... Individually at nationals, she took 12th place in the 500 free with a 5:04.51 mark... During the Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference Championships earlier in the season, she played a role in the second-place finish for the 800 relay team while personally taking third in the 500 free (5:04.84) and eighth in both the 200 free (1:55.41) and 1650 free (17:42.84) events... For her performances at the PCSC meet, she earned All-Conference honors.

Attended Burlingame High School in Burlingame, Calif... Named to the 2009 All-Peninsula Athletic League First Team... Also competed for the Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics club team, winning the 15-16 age group honor award... Recorded personal bests in the 50 free (25.18), 100 free (53.18), 200 free (1:54.01), 500 free (5:10.36), 100 fly (59.49) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.60).

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 20, 1991... Parents are Griffith and Tamara Thomas... Father played soccer at the University of Strathclyde... Mother attended the Cambridge College of Arts and Technology... Has a younger sister named Naomi... Is a Human Development major at Marshall College... Aspires to work with children and teach... Interests include photography, music, hiking and the beach... Favorite pro teams are the San Francisco Giants and the San Diego Chargers.
