LA JOLLA, Calif. - The last remaining pairs of the UC San Diego men's tennis team were displaced from the bracket Friday, concluding the Tritons' competition at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships.
In the consolation bracket's fourth round, juniors Erik Elliott and Jake Fellow suffered a 6-1, 6-4 loss to Daniel Faierman and Warren Wood.
At the same level of the consolation bracket, Ryan Agbayani and Junya Yoshida were dealt a 6-1, 6-2 defeat to Cal's Chris Dunk and Tommie Murphy.
The Tritons, ranked No. 28 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll and holding an overall record of 6-4, will return to regular team play on Monday when they host No. 10 Rollins College at 2 p.m.
