HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Monte Vista High School in Danville, Calif., where he competed on the cross country, track and field and wrestling teams... Guided the Mustangs to a 10th place finish at the Division I State Cross Country Championships as a senior... Led the track team to a NCS title with a fifth place showing in the 800 in 2008... Recorded personal bests of 1:55.75 in the 800, 4:35 in the 1600 and 5:11 in the 1600 steeplechase... Won the East Bay Athletic League crown in wrestling for the 130-pound weight class.
