Trent Painter is in his second season coaching goalkeepers for the men's and women's soccer teams at UC San Diego.

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at Cal State San Marcos, Painter has been well-involved with many youth programs in the greater San Diego area for the last four years. He also coaches the La Jolla Impact Under-11 boy's side. He previously guided the goalies for the DMCV Sharks, doubling as the head coach for San Pasqual High School's junior varsity team.

Painter came to UCSD from CSUSM, where he coached goalkeepers in 2010. He also coached a pair of Under-11 and Under-12 boys' teams for Villa FC in 2010.

Painter coached the Fury FC Boys' Under-16 squad to a Rotary Cup title and Presidio League championship in 2008. He also finished first in the Charity Cup and third in Nott's Forest Cup in 2009 while with Fury FC.
