Tritons at SDSU Before Hosting Final Home Meet of the Season

LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC San Diego swimming and diving team has a busy two days ahead of it as the Tritons compete at San Diego State Friday and then host Grand Canyon Saturday.

On Friday, the Tritons take to the Mesa as the women will compete against Rice, San Diego State, TCU and Washington State. The men will go up against TCU only. Action gets underway at the Aztec Aquaplex at 2 p.m.

UCSD welcomes Grand Canyon to Canyonview Pool Saturday, the final home meet of the season. Start time is 11 a.m.

The Triton men are coming off a huge victory over NCAA Division I Cal Poly in a long course meet at Canyonview on Dec. 18. The men collected 15 first place finishes, while Alex Henley won all four events she competed in on the women's side.

Matt Herman, Alex Merrill and diver Tyler Runsten all had wins in multiple events.

Following the tilt against the Antelopes, the Tritons hit the road for meets at Loyola Marymount on Jan. 14 and at Cal Baptist on Jan. 21.
