CAGERS HOST PACIFICA SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT RIMAC

Following a two-week layoff for finals, Coach Chris Carlson's Men's Basketball team will be looking to gather some momentum before heading back into the brunt of the CCAA schedule when it hosts Pacifica, Sunday afternoon at RIMAC Arena...The Tritons come into the weekend tilt at 1-5...They have dropped their last four straight, the three most recent by a total of 16 points...Sunday's clash will be broadcast live on ESPN 1700 AM with Jack Cronin calling the action.

Carlson has three players scoring in double figures, seniors Tyler McGrath (16.3  ppg) and Justin Brue (13.7) as well as junior James McCann (11.2)...Brue's 6.2 boards per game is best on the squad while McCann has a team high 27 assists.

WOMEN'S HOOPS SEEKS TO MAINTAIN CLEAN CCAA LEDGER
Coach Heidi VanDerveer's Women's Basketball squad will be aiming for three straight in conference play when it travels to Cal State San Bernardino (2-3/1-1) Sunday afternoon...The Tritons, 4-5 overall after a rugged non-conference slate, began CCAA activity with a pair of home wins over Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills two weekends ago...They are one half game back of league-leading Chico State in the standings.

Still figuring things out to a great extent under its first-year head coach, UCSD is led offensively by senior backcourt duo of Daisy Feder (21.1 ppg) and Emily Osga (14.0)...Osga is the Tritons' top rebounder with 5.3 per contest...Junior Erin Dautremont is averaging 10.6 points and 5.2 boards per outing.

Junior defender Alec Arsht of the Men's Soccer team won second team All-Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)...Arsht, who garnered Daktronics All-Region and All-American honors earlier, was a third team All-Region (NSCAA) choice last season.
