A 2012 graduate of Gabrielino High School in San Gabriel ... "Co-MVP Award" recipient his last three years with the Eagles (2010-12) ... Won "Iron Man Award" as a senior with the Eagles (2012) ... Earned "scholar-athlete" recognition during his junior year (2011) ... "Co-Most Improved Athlete" honoree as a freshman at GHS (2009) ... Ran both the 110-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles in personal-best times of 14.54 seconds and 39.45 at the CIF-SS - Division III Prelims, where he took third and 10th, respectively ... Finished fourth (14.66) and ninth (41.00) in those respective races at the CIF-SS - D-III Finals the following week during his final year (2012) ... Competed in a leg of the 4x100 relay, helping the Eagles win the event at the Mission Valley League Finals with a team-best time of 43.64 as a senior (2012).

Playing the piano, working out, helping others with odd jobs, and building computers are among his hobbies ... Favorite athlete is Liu Xiang ... Has Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" on his playlist ... Would eat peanut butter for the rest of his life if given the chance ... His greatest influences are Xiang, theoretical physicist Michio Kaku, scientist Carl Sagan and Intel co-founder Gordon Moore ...
