Competed at the NCAA Championships in the javelin in his first season at UCSD, placing three spots higher than his No. 20 seed in 17th in Allendale, Mich., on May 24 with a top distance on the second of three attempts of 192'6" ... Achieved his first NCAA provisional qualifier in his Triton debut, throwing 197'6" to take first place at the Rossi Relays in Claremont on Feb. 22 and enter the UCSD record book at No. 5 ... Season-best mark of 201'2" came at the CCAA Championships at UCSD on May 3, placing him on the podium in third place and moving him up to No. 3 in program history.
