LA JOLLA, Calif. - Kyra Scott was a two-time winner but it wasn't enough as the UC San Diego women's tennis team was defeated, 7-2, by UC Davis Sunday at Northview Courts.
Scott paired with teammate Nousha Nowamooz at No. 1 doubles to take down Alex Huie and Kristy Jorgensen, 8-6.
In the No. 1 singles match, Scott topped Jorgensen, winning the opening set, 6-3, before Jorgensen was forced to retire.
The Aggies won the other two doubles matches and took five singles contests in straight sets.
UC San Diego fell to 2-4 overall, while UC Davis is 3-2.
The Tritons host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Feb. 13 at noon.
