UCSD Tied for 20th at Cactus Thaw Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif. - The University of California San Diego men's golf team is tied for 20th of 22 squads following Monday's opening round of the Cactus Thaw Invitational, hosted by Western New Mexico University at Brookside Country Club.

UC San Diego shot a 301, tied with Holy Names. Dominican is in first at 282, while California Baptist and Colorado Christian are tied for second, both totaling a 286.

For the Tritons, Adam Navigato (73) is tied for 38th, Jacob Johnson (75) and Mateusz Kucz (75) are tied for 65th, Hayden Hui (78) is tied for 102nd and James Kressinger-Dunn (81) is tied for 116th.

Dominican's Drew Nelson leads the 123-golfer field after firing a 67.

The Cactus Thaw Invitational concludes Tuesday morning with a second and final round.
