ATLANTA - Former University of California San Diego All-American point guard and current associate head coach Chelsea Carlisle was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as a member of its 2017 Thirty Under 30 list.

The collection of thirty coaches from all levels of the collegiate game have shown dedication to their teams, community service, mentorship and professionalism.

"I am so thankful for the opportunities UCSD and head coach Heidi VanDerveer have given me," said Carlisle. "I love what I do and enjoy helping young people in whatever way I can."

During the 2016-17 season, Carlisle helped lead UC San Diego to a 23-7 overall record and a 17-3 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) mark as the Tritons earned their fifth league title. UCSD qualified for the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive year.

As a player from 2008-12, Carlisle amassed 1,950 total points, averaging 16.5 points and 4.9 assists per game for her career. She holds school records for career three-pointers and assists, as well as single season assists and most points in a single game.
