CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The final three University of California San Diego standouts were in action on Day 3 of the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Irwin Belk Complex, highlighted by junior Nicholas Rack earning All-America First Team honors in the 110-meter hurdles.

Rack capped off a spectacular season by placing fourth in the national final with a time of 14.06-seconds. In Friday's prelims, Rack posted a time of 14.18.

The Murrieta native is UC San Diego's all-time record holder and a two-time USTFCCCA All-West Region honoree in the 110 hurdles. His school-record time of 14.00 ranked 11th entering the national meet and placed third at the 2018 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships.

Rack joins senior Paul Doan (100) and Matt Bowen (long jump) as Tritons who received All-America honors at this weekend's NCAA Championships. Doan's time of 10.58 in the prelims earned 11th overall, while Bowen's best leap of 24-feet, 1.5-inches placed 12th.

Meanwhile, Bowen and fellow junior Arik Nesbit each competed in the triple jump on Saturday, but neither was able to advance to the final round. Bowen had a best leap of 49'5" in the prelims to place 13th, while Nesbit's best jump of 47'0.25" earned 21st.

Bowen is the only Triton who entered the 2018 NCAA Championships with previous experience on the national stage. This was the third appearance for the Fresno native, who garnered All-America honors in the the triple jump as a true freshman in 2015 by placing sixth, and followed it up with a 10th-place effort in 2016.

Bowen is second on UC San Diego's all-time list in the triple jump, with a personal-best leap of 51'4.25" that won first overall at the 2018 CCAA Championships.

Nesbit is right behind Bowen in third place all-time at UC San Diego in the triple jump with a best mark of 50'0.0" that ranked 17th in the nation. It was also good for second at the CCAA Championships, as the San Clemente native has finished second in the conference in each of the last two seasons.
