TEMPE, Ariz. - University of California San Diego women's tennis standout Becky Chou earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-America honors as the outlet announced its annual selections Wednesday.
Chou finished the competitive season ranked 15th nationally in singles play. The sophomore recorded a 12-11 record, primarily playing at the No. 2 spot for the Tritons. She finished her campaign strong, winning eight of her final 10 matches completed matches. Three of those victories came against opponents ranked in the national top 30.
Chou was also solid in doubles action for UC San Diego. Along with partner Ashley Chao, the duo went 13-10, all at the No. 1 position.
UC San Diego compiled a 13-11 overall record and qualified for NCAA postseason play, serving as the No. 4 seed in the West Region. The Tritons were ranked as high as No. 5 in the country.
