Softball Unveils 2018 Recruiting Class

LA JOLLA, Calif. – Following a postseason run during the 2018 season, the University of California San Diego softball team has added new talent to continue its success in the upcoming season. With Head Coach Patti Gerckens at the helm for her 27th season, the Tritons have added seven players through their 2019 recruiting class. The recruiting class features six incoming freshmen and one transfer who have garnered numerous athletic and academic accolades throughout their careers.


Brittney Baisden


Hometown: Roseville, Calif.

Previous Team: Granite Bay High School


  •   Why UC San Diego? “I chose UC San Diego softball because of the atmosphere of the program. I instantly felt welcomed by the coaching staff and the players. I was looking for a program that would allow me to compete both athletically and academically, and UC San Diego provides me with that opportunity. Doing it in beautiful La Jolla is icing on the cake.”
