|Position:||Business Operations & Camps Coordinator|
An UC San Diego alumnus, Alexa Mejia was named Business Operations and Camps Coordinator in June of 2018.
Her duties include, camp organization, planning, and management as well as camp website management, camp reconciliation and financial management, hiring and payroll for camp staff, coordination of official and unofficial visits for potential student athletes, coordination of recruiting travel for coaches and cash control.
Prior to her time with the Tritons, Mejia worked as an account executive and guest services coordinator at Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. Her primary responsibilities included management of client accounts, operations management, and guest services coordination.
From September 2014-June 2017, Mejia worked as an office and scheduling assistant for UC San Diego Sports Facilities. She scheduled athletic games and practices, special events, and recreational classes.
In addition, Mejia still serves as a leader of UC San Diego’s transition to Division I athletics. As a student, Mejia was part of the campaign to move UC San Diego Intercollegiate Athletics to Division I. Her role consisted of campaigning throughout campus to inform students of the many benefits of Division I Athletics as her main responsibilities included social media management and the building of the website.
Mejia also worked as an event supervisor for UC San Diego Sports Facilities for two years (June 2015-June 2017) as she oversaw and assisted in the set-up and tear down of events, and ensured that events went smoothly.
Mejia graduated from UC San Diego in June of 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in psychology and an Associate’s degree in business. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA.
