IRVINE, Calif. - The University of Caifornia San Diego men's tennis team's match at future Big West Conference foe UC Irvine on Saturday, Feb. 2, has been postponed by rain. The contest was supposed to begin at 12 p.m. at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

An effort will be made to make the date up. The new day and time has not yet been agreed upon by the two head coaches, though it will definitely not take place this weekend, and likely not in the coming week.

UC San Diego (0-1) thus now shifts its focus toward its home opener against 13th-ranked NCAA Division II West Region rival Azusa Pacific (0-0), next Friday, Feb. 8. Action at Northview Tennis Courts on North Campus in La Jolla is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. with doubles. Admission is free, though parking permits are required. The Cougars, 2018 national semifinalists, have ended the Tritons' season in each of the past two years in the opening round of the NCAA Championship.
