Wednesday's Men's Tennis Match at Point Loma Postponed Due to Weather
LA JOLLA, Calif. - The University of California San Diego men's tennis program's rivalry match at crosstown foe Point Loma Nazarene University will have to wait another nine days to be played. Due to rain in the forecast, the showdown set for a 3:30 p.m. start at PLNU Tennis Courts on Wednesday, Feb. 13, has been postponed to Friday, Feb. 22. It will still begin at 3:30 p.m.
UC San Diego will fly to Hawai'i early Thursday morning, Feb. 14, for three important in-region matches at the Holua Tennis Center in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. The Tritons take on Holy Names on Friday, Feb. 15, at 4 p.m. PT, followed by No. 15 Hawai'i Pacific on Saturday (5 p.m. PT) and No. 10 Hawai'i Hilo on Sunday (4:30 p.m. PT).
After the Feb. 22 makeup with Point Loma, UC San Diego returns to home action against a sixth straight NCAA Division II West Region opponent in Sonoma State on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 10 a.m. at Northview Tennis Courts on North Campus. That tilt in fact begins a season-long nine-match homestand that will keep the Tritons in La Jolla through the month of March.
