Tritons Look to Remain Unbeaten In Conference against Air Force

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The No. T-9 UC San Diego men’s water polo team looks to continue its winning ways when the Tritons host Air Force for a Western Water Polo Association match on Friday, October 25.

General Admissions is $5 and tickets will be sold at Canyonview Aquatic Center one-hour prior to the start of the game. Parking permits are required when parking on campus from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.


Professor Nathan Fletcher will serve as an honorary coach for Friday’s game. Professor Fletcher is a Marine Corps Combat Veteran, Politician and Professor of Practice in the Political Science Department at UC San Diego.


The Tritons came up on top against Santa Clara 12-10 to remain undefeated in the WWPA. The game was neck-in-neck until the Tritons pulled out to a two-goal lead to close out the third quarter. Kaden Likins led the offense with three goals and an assist.


Air Force is coming off two tight loses by a combined three goals to WWPA opponents UC Davis and Loyola Marymount. Mike Miller and Campbell Harris lead the offense with 43 and 39 goals respectively. Reagan Pittman has acted as the point guard for the offense and tallied 48 assists on the season.


UC San Diego leads the series 69-16 with Air Force. The last time the Tritons fell to Air Force was in 2015 when they dropped a 10-5 game to the then ranked #14 Air Force at the SoCal Invitational.


The game against Air Force will be the final game of the UC San Diego Think Pink series in support of breast cancer awareness. Triton branded sunglasses will be handed out while supplies last.

The Tritons will play their final regular season road game at Long Beach State on October 30.
