Trevor Decker was named the Wilson/California Collegiate Athletic Association Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 15, it was announced Monday by the conference office. Decker tossed a seven-inning no-hitter on Saturday that helped UCSD complete a four-game sweep of No. 1 Cal State Stanislaus over the weekend.
Decker struck out three in a dominant performance on the mound, allowing just two base runners in the Tritons' 6-0 win. After walking the first two batters of the game, he settled in and retired the final 20 batters in order.
The Palo Cedro, Calif. native is 2-1 on the year in three starts and three relief appearances. He has an ERA of 4.58 with nine strikeouts in 19.2 innings pitched.
This is UCSD's first Pitcher of the Week award this season. Even Kehoe was named the CCAA Player of the Week on March 2.
The Tritons, who outscored the top-ranked Warriors 23-10 over the weekend, will return to action on Friday, March 27 when they begin a four-game series with San Francisco State.
