Keith Okasaki is tied for 23rd place individually after an even-par, 71 in the second round at the 2009 NCAA Division II Central/West Regional Golf Championships at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska on Tuesday.
Raj Samra is tied for 30th place, one stroke behind Okasaki, after shooting a 5-over, 76 in the second round, while
Billy Olsen is tied for 84th place overall.
After shooting a 7-over par, 78 in Monday's opening round, Okasaki shaved seven strokes off that score in round two for a share of 23rd place with a 149 total. Samra has a two-round total of 8-over par, 150 after beginning the day in a tie for 20th place. Olsen, UCSD's only other competitor, wrapped up the second day of competition with a score of 158 after carding rounds of 81 and 77 at the par-71, 7,016-yard course.
Sonoma State's Jarin Todd is out in front with a two-round total of 9-under par, 133 following a 67 on Tuesday. He holds a four-stroke lead over CCAA rival Danny Hoff of Cal State Stanislaus and a five-stroke advantage over Chico State's Brandon Harkins, the leader after the first round.
Sonoma State leads the field with a total score of 569 after carding a 1-over par, 285 as a team on Tuesday. The Seawolves hold a nine-stroke lead over Cal State Stanislaus (578) and 10 shot advantage over Colorado-Colorado Springs.
The 54-hole event concludes with the final round on Wednesday.
