Release: Monday 07/08/2013

LA JOLLA, Calif. - Eight UC San Diego student-athletes have earned Pacific Collegiate Swimming & Diving Conference (PCSC) All-Academic Team distinction for 2012-13.

On the men’s side, the group includes senior-to-be diver Luke Calkins and departed swimmers Mark Guyler, James Sonu and Adam Yen. Calkins was previously named a Capital One Academic All-American last month for the second year in a row. The list for the Triton women consists of diver Natalie Mouzooni and swimmers Sandy Hon, Lindsay Oosterhouse and Erika Rodman, all four of whom will return to the Tritons as seniors this fall.

In order to qualify, individuals must carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher through the 2012-13 academic year, and be classified as a junior or a senior participant at his or her institution.

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is expected to announce its spring-session academic honorees in the coming days.
