Six Tritons Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

LA JOLLA, Calif. - Six University of California San Diego student-athletes earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 8 At-Large First Team honors as the organization announced the winners Thursday.

To be nominated for CoSIDA Academic All-District distinction, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve and hold a 3.30 cumulative GPA or higher. In addition, they must have reached at least sophomore athletic standing and have participated in no fewer than 50 percent of the team's competitions during the season.

Sports eligible for At-Large recognition are women's beach volleyball, women's bowling, fencing, women's field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, women's rowing, skiing, swimming/diving, tennis, men's volleyball, water polo and men's wrestling.

• WWPA Player of the Year
• All-WWPA First Team

• Led UCSD and WWPA in goals with 81 and points with 93
• 12 assists, 34 steals, 13 penalties drawn, and 58 ejections drawn
• Team-high 13 hat tricks

Jaimie Bryan
Women's Swimming & Diving
Senior • Breaststroke/IM
Paradise Valley, Ariz. • Phoenix Country Day School

• 3.70 GPA as a Physiology/Neuroscience major
• Two-time All-American at NCAA Championships
• Won 100 breaststroke at PCSC Championships
• 200 breaststroke champion at A3 Performance Invite
• Team tri-captain
• 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District selection
• 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-America selection

Michael Cohn

All six Tritons will now be placed on the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Those selections will be announced in June.
