AS A JUNIOR IN 2009-10: Received All-American and All-Conference honors for the second-straight season... During the NCAA Division II National Championships held in Canton, Ohio, she guided UCSD's 200 medley squad to fourth place after posting a 25.25 fly split... Also in relays at nationals, she helped the 400 free team to a fifth-place finish after contributing a 52.19 split and the 200 free group to eighth place with a 23.49 split... At the Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference Championships, she served as a relay member of the first-place 200 medley, second-place 200 free, second-place 400 medley and second-place 400 free... Ended the school year on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll at the Gold Level (includes GPAs above 3.500).
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008-09: Earned All-Conference and All-American accolades during her impressive sophomore campaign... At the NCAA Division II National Championships, was part of the gold-medal winning 200 medley relay team that posted a school record mark of 1:42.56 to win the title... At the PCSC Championships, finished seventh in the 50 free (24.38), 12th in the 100 fly (59.26) and 17th in the 100 free (54.38)... Also at the PCSC Championships, helped the Tritons to a victory in the 200 medley relay (1:45.29) and a second-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:34.95)... Finished the year on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll at the Gold Level.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007-08: Notched season-best times of 24.84 in the 50 free and 1:09.29 in the 100 breast at the PCSC Championships... Also at the PCSC Championships, finished 21st with a time of 2:34.98 in the 200 breast event... Earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll at the Gold Level.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Del Oro High School in Loomis, Calif... Helped team to 4th place finish at 2005 CIF Sections... MVP of Varsity Girls team in 2004, 2006, and 2007... Del Oro High School Record Holder in 50 free and 100 breast events... Also competed for Sierra Marlins Swim Team, Sierra Nevada Swimming, Western Zone Team, and Sierra Never Olympic Train Center team... Earned Sierra Marlins Most Motivational Award in 2005 and 2006... 2005 Academic All-American... Recorded statistical bests of 25.39 in the 50 free, 30.77 in the 50 breast, and 1:08.40 in the 100 breast event.
PERSONAL: Born Aug. 27, 1989... Parents are Gordon and Cheryl Ferguson... Both parents attended Cal State Sacramento... Has a younger sister named Claire... Aspires to attend medical school and pursue career in the medicine of infectious diseases and immunology... A Molecular Biology major in Warren College.
