AS A JUNIOR IN 2008-09: Started all 32 games in her first season as a Triton, averaging 7.4 points and 3.8 rebounds… Was second on the team dishing out 2.8 assists per game… Led UCSD guards and was second overall with 19 blocks on the year… Averaged just under 29 minutes per contest… Hit 5-of-7 shots and scored 13 points in UCSD’s season-opener against Dixie State on November 16… Also grabbed a season-high seven boards in her Triton debut… Scored a career-best 17 points and hauled in five rebounds to help lead the Tritons to an 84-66 victory at Cal State L.A. on February 7… Followed that up with another outstanding effort against Cal Poly Pomona six days later, finishing with 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting and six rebounds… Scored in double figures on seven other occasions during the season… Dished out a career-high eight assists in UCSD’s win over San Diego Christian December 30.
FOOTHILL COLLEGE: Played basketball for two seasons at Foothill College under head coach Jody Craig… Helped team to undefeated 2007-08 season, winning Coast Conference Championship, earning the top seed in Northern California, and advancing to the State Championship game… Honored as a Coast Conference Honorable Mention selection during both seasons, and as part of the All-League Team in 2006-07.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Burlingame High School, where she finished as California’s second all-time leader in assists… Selected to the All-San Mateo County Team, named Athlete of the Week in the San Mateo Times and the 2006 Burlingame High School Senior Female Athlete of the Year… Also played club basketball for the San Jose Jammers.
PERSONAL: Born January 26, 1988… Parents are Willie and Mercy Martin… Has two older siblings named Robyn and Malie… Her cousin is former baseball player Benny Agbayani… Roots for the New York Giants and Duke Blue Devils… Allen Iverson is her favorite athlete… Loves the Kill Bill movies… Interests include music, art, graphic design, and spending time at the beach… Is a Music major in Sixth College… Hopes to help UCSD win a national championship.
