AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Competed in six events for the Tritons... Claimed a fifth place finish with a time of 23:14.4 in the season-opening dual meet with Point Loma Nazarene... led UCSD and finished 22nd overall crossing the finish line at 25:33.0 at the UC Irvine Invitational two weeks later... finished 26th overall at the Bob Firman Invitational, ringing in at 26:05.33... had a very strong performance at the CCAA Championships, placing 14th overall with a time of 24:45.10... he was the second Triton to finish the course and earned a spot on the All-CCAA squad in the process... Continued to finish strong at the NCAA West Regionals, crossing the line at 32:08.12, good enough for 31st overall and fifth on the team... finished third among Tritons and 113th overall at the NCAA Championships in Joplin, Mo. with a mark of 33:05.9.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Competed in five events for the Tritons during the season... finished first among Tritons and 20th overall during his first race of the year at the Aztec Invitational with a time of 26:59... was 50th overall and second on the UCSD team at the Roy Griak Invitational with a time of 27:04.5... finished the Triton Classic in 26:48... completed the CCAA Championships in a time of 27:24.30, good for 25th overall... was 27th overall at the NCAA DII West Regionals with a time of 33:47.45, the second-best finish on the Triton squad... named cross country’s Triton of the Year.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: Ran in the final four events on the year... finished 205th in his first collegiate race, crossing the finish line at the Paul Short Classic in a time of 26:11.4... had a 38th place finish at the Triton Cross Country Classic, finishing the race in a time of 27:24.4... helped the Tritons to a third place finish at the CCAA Championships with his 22nd place finish in a time of 26:29... finished 40th at the NCAA D-II West Regional, crossing the finish line in a time of 34:39.90.
HIGH SCHOOL: Comes to UCSD by way of nearby La Costa Canyon High School... helped team to a fourth place CIF finish in 2004... was the ninth place individual CIF finisher as a senior... earned his team’s Most Valuable Runner Award.
PERSONAL: Born October 31, 1987... parents are John and Lauren LaVieux... has an older brother Trevor and a younder brother Lucas... is a Biochemistry major at Sixth College... has ran in five different marathons and took fifth place in the La Jolla half marathon in 2004... one of his goals is to place well at nationals this year... plays a lot of guitar in his spare time
