HAYWARD, Calif. - Chelsea Carlisle scored 22 points and Daisy Feder finished with 17 to guide the No. 1 UC San Diego women's basketball team to a comfortable 75-57 victory over Cal State East Bay in California Collegiate Athletic Association play on Saturday evening at Pioneer Gym.

The Tritons shot a blistering 53% in the second half and outscored the Pioneers 45-26 in the period to keep their perfect record in tact heading into the final week of the season. UCSD, which now stands at 26-0 overall and 20 in CCAA play, will take on Humboldt State and Sonoma State next week looking to keep the magical run going.

After winning the 2011-12 CCAA regular season championship outright with a hard-fought win over second place Cal State East Bay on Friday night, the Tritons came right back with a strong performance against Cal State East Bay (11-15, 8-12 CCAA) on Saturday, outscoring the Pioneers 17-5 over the game's final six minutes.

"Tonight was another example of how tough it is to play on the road in this league," head coach Charity Elliott said. "East Bay was ready to play tonight and gave us a great battle. We had a great start to the second half and then we were able to put the game away with the big run at the end."

UCSD shot just under 46% (27-59) from the field, while holding CSUEB to 38% (23-60) on the other end. The Triton offense had it going from all over the floor as UCSD finished 10-24 from the three-point line, 24%, and also outscored the Pioneers 20-12 in the paint.

It was the usual suspects carrying the load for the Tritons once again as UCSD's starters accounted for 66 of the team's 75 points. Carlisle finished 7-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from downtown and added six assists and three boards to her scoring total, while Feder hit 4-of-9 from behind the arc and tallied eight boards and three assists.

Lauren Freidenberg scored 14 points and hauled down four rebounds, while Emily Osga finished with 10 points, seven boards and three assists.

Micah Walker scored a game-high 23 points in a losing effort for East Bay, finishing 8-of-22 from the field and 4-of-8 from the three-point line. She also tallied four rebounds and three assists. Brianna Terrance added 12 points and six boards off the bench, while Cassie Coble scored 10.

The Pioneers led for most of the first half, taking a 19-14 advantage on a triple by Walker with 8:49 remaining in the period. The Tritons came back to grab a 22-21 lead after a three from Feder, but CSUEB scored seven of the next nine points for a 28-24 advantage and held a 31-30 edge at the break.

It was all UCSD in the second half as Carlisle and Feder combined to hit four threes in the Tritons' first five possessions for a 42-33 lead. UCSD continued to pour it on as Osga hit a pair of free throws and Feder drained a jumper to make it 51-37 less than three minutes later.

The Pioneers closed to within five at 51-46 following four straight points from Terrance, but Carlisle answered with a three-point play to stem the tide.

Leading 58-52 with 6:44 remaining, the Tritons outscored the Pioneers 14-2 over the next four and a half minutes to take commanding 72-54 advantage and put the game on ice. It was Freidenberg stepping into the closer role for UCSD as the senior center scored eight points during the run.

The Tritons will now have just three days off before taking on Humboldt State on Wednesday in Arcata. UCSD will then travel to Rohnert Park for a matchup with Sonoma State in the regular season finale on Friday.
