Chelsea Carlisle, Daisy Feder, Lauren Freidenberg and Emily Osga were all named to the 2011-12 All-CCAA First Team as the Tritons claimed four of the 10 first team selections. Carlisle was also tabbed the conference Most Valuable Player for the second time in three years, while Charity Elliott was a unanimous choice for CCAA Coach of the Year.

"I couldn't be more pleased that we had four players named to the first team," Elliott said. "Chelsea, Daisy, Lauren and Emily were all so critical to our success this season and it's great that they were recognized for their accomplishments. I know it will mean a great deal to each one of them."

Carlisle was named the CCAA's top player after leading the conference in scoring, assists and steals during the regular season. The senior point guard entered postseason play this week averaging 16.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.8 steals per game. A three-time first team all-conference selection, Carlisle scored in double figures in 27 out of 28 games during the regular season and finished with 20 or more on six occasions. Her 60 three-pointers made also led the league.

Carlisle becomes the fifth player from UCSD to win MVP honors in last seven seasons, joining Michelle Osier in 2009 and Leora Juster in 2006 and 2007. The Agoura Hills native also won the award after averaging team-highs of 17.8 points, 3.5 assists and 2.2 steals as a sophomore in 2009-10.

Feder takes home her first All-CCAA selection after averaging 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 28 games during the regular season. The Santa Monica native scored in double figures in the final 19 games of conference play, averaging a team-high 16.0 points on 40% shooting over that span. She scored a career-high 26 points to lead the Tritons' to a 78-58 victory over Sonoma State on the final day of the regular season last week.

Freidenberg had another outstanding campaign for the Tritons, averaging 12.7 points and a team-high 7.6 rebounds heading into postseason play. She also led the squad shooting 56% from the field during the regular season and paced UCSD with five double-doubles during the year. A native of Seattle, Freidenberg ranked 10th in the CCAA in scoring, ninth in rebounding and second in field goal percentage.

Osga did a little bit of everything for UCSD during the 2011-12 regular season, averaging 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 28 games. She shot 51% from the field and a team-high 42% from the three-point line, finishing in double figures in 17 games. The San Diego native finished in the top 12 in the conference in several categories, including scoring, assists, field goal percentage and three-point percentage.

Elliott took home coach of the year honors for the third time in the last four years after guiding the Tritons to a historic season in her fifth year with the program. UCSD wrapped up the regular season with an overall record of 27-1 and locked up the No. 1 seed in the CCAA Tournament once again after going 21-1 in conference play. The Tritons set a school record with 26 straight wins to open the season, while also establishing the best start in the history of the CCAA.

UCSD earned a No. 1 national ranking in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll for the first time in program history on January 17 and has held on to the top spot ever since.
