TURLOCK, Calif. - The 21st-ranked UC San Diego women's tennis team could not spoil senior day for No. 33 Cal State Stanislaus as it fell by a margin of 7-2 Friday in Turlock.

The Tritons fell to 6-15 while the Warriors improved their record to 10-4, which includes a 6-1 mark on their home courts. It was the second time this season that UCSD had been defeated by CSUS.

UCSD's Katie Mulloy and Laura Wilke were the sole pairing to post a win on the doubles ladder, defeating McKenzy Harden and Heather Cotter, 8-6. Mulloy and Wilke are on a roll as it was their fifth consecutive victory at No. 3.

At No. 1, Melissa Breisacher and Jacquelyn Davis fell, 8-3, to Verena Preikschas and Katie Eng, who are ranked No. 19 in NCAA Division II. With today's win, Preikschas and Eng finished their duo career undefeated on their home turf, posting an impressive record of 24-0. 

In singles play, Triton Samantha Yeung defeated Harden at No. 5, 6-3, 6-1. Senior Krystal Mizuguchi forced three sets against her opponent at No. 6, before falling, 7-6, 0-6, 10-8. At No. 1, Breisacher fell to No. 17 Preikschas, 6-2, 6-2.

UCSD will have a quick turnaround as it will face Sonoma State in Rohnert Park Saturday at noon. The season wraps up Sunday against Hawaii Hilo, also on the SSU campus.
