I Want In
Single day general admission tickets for adults are $8. Tickets for college students with a valid ID, seniors and youth ages 3-18 are priced at $5. Children two years old and under are admitted free. Tickets will be available for purchase on game days at the entrance to Triton Ballpark.

Park at the Park
Fans attending tournament games on Thursday and Friday will need to purchase a parking permit from the machine at the Triton Ballpark lot. Permits are not required on Saturday. For directions to campus and Triton Ballpark, go to http://bit.ly/IPbwH7.

On the Western Front
In this week's NCAA regional rankings, released May 9, UCSD (29-21) dropped from No. 2 to No. 4 in the West. Western Oregon (36-9) held the top spot and is followed by Chico State (36-14) and Dixie State (32-18). Cal State San Bernardino (27-18) is fifth, Cal State L.A. (26-22) sixth, Cal Poly Pomona (31-18) seventh and Grand Canyon (27-23) eighth.

Susdorf Named Tino Martinez Award Semifinalist
On Tuesday, Danny Susdorf was named a semifinalist for the Tino Award, given to the top Division II player in the nation. The annual honor is named after the former University of Tampa Spartan, United States Olympian, first round draft pick and MLB All-Star, Tino Martinez. The 55 semi-finalists represent forty-eight different schools from across the nation. The finalists will be named May 21 with the winner announced after the Division II Championships. Chase Larsson of Cameron won the honor in 2011.

Tuma Closing In On Appearance Record
Elias Tuma has pitched in 79 career games, just two off UCSD's all-time record. Ryan Leake (2004-06) owns the mark at 81, while Guido Knudson (2008-11) is one ahead of Tuma with 80 career appearances.

Tuma Tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District
Last week, Elias Tuma was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII selection for the second straight year. The senior holds a 3.93 GPA as a Cognitive Science major at UCSD's Muir College. Tuma is now eligible to be selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-American, an accolade he won in 2011.

Susdorf, La Face and Tuma Earn NCBWA Preseason Recognition
Danny Susdorf was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason All-America Second Team and the NCBWA Preseason All-West Region First Team. Nick La Face and Elias Tuma were selected to the all-region second team.

Triple Threat
Danny Susdorf has nine triples this season, giving the junior 14 for his career. He now owns UCSD's career record for three baggers and is tied for the most triples in a single season in school history. Currently, he leads the nation in total triples and is second in triples per game.

Steal Wheels
UCSD leads the CCAA and ranks 26th in the nation with its 97 stolen bases. The team's single season record is 101, set in 1985 and again in 1988.

Around the Nation
Nationally, UCSD ranks 18th in total triples, 19th in walks allowed per nine innings, 26th in total stolen bases, 27th in triples per game, 34th in steals per game, 39th in sacrifice bunts and 48th in hit by pitch. Individually, Danny Susdorf ranks first in triples, second in triples per game, 26th in toughest to strike out, 31st in steals and 48th in hits. Garrett Tuck is eighth in sacrifice flies. Ryan Goodbrand ranks 15th in wins and 29th in starts. Tony York is 17th in saves and Greg Selarz is 29th in starts.

Shibuya Playing in Wisconsin
Former Triton All-American Tim Shibuya is currently playing for the Beloit Snappers in Beloit, Wisconsin, a low-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The right-handed pitcher was drafted by the Twins in the 23rd round (718th overall pick) of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft. In 2011 with the Elizabethton (Tenn.) Twins, Shibuya was named the Appalachian League's Pitcher of the Year and was a league All-Star. He went 8-2 with a 3.30 ERA, striking out 70 batters and walking just 11 over 73.2 innings. Albitz Playing in Florida
Former Triton infielder Vance Albitz is currently playing for the Palm Beach (Florida) Cardinals, an Advanced Class A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals that competes in the Florida State League. In 2011, the shortstop hit .283 with nine runs scored and five doubles over 12 games for the Batavia Muckdogs of the New York-Penn League.
