UCSD RANKED 17th NATIONALLY IN AVCA PRESEASON COACHES POLL
The Tritons enter the year with a No. 17 national ranking courtesy of the American Volleyball Coaches Association Preseason Poll. Concordia-St. Paul received all 32 first-place votes, while California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) members Cal State San Bernardino and Sonoma State are ranked third and 24th, respectively. It's UCSD's highest ranking to start a season since 2010 when they occupied the No. 8 spot. The Tritons began their 2011 campaign ranked 24th and ended up climbing as high as 10th during the season.

CCAA COACHES PICK TRITONS TO FINISH THIRD IN LEAGUE
The CCAA coaches have picked UCSD to place third in the league in 2012, the same spot the Tritons finished their 2011 season in. Cal State San Bernardino was selected to win its seventh consecutive league title, while Sonoma State was ranked second.
