STAR OF THE MONTH: Cassie Callahan joins members of the San Diego Padres and Chargers as a San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month for September. The sophomore midfielder was among three professional, six other amateur and six high school athletes to pick up the monthly honor. Callahan leads UCSD in goals (6), points (14), game-winning goals (3), shots (25) and shots on goal (11). She scored game-winning goals in overtime matches against CCAA opponents San Francisco State and Cal State San Bernardino.

CLASH OF DIVISION LEADERS: This Friday marks UCSD's first meeting with a California Collegiate Athletic Association North Division team as the South-leading Tritons play at Sonoma State, the first-place squad in the North.

FOLLOW LIVE: Even though the Tritons are on the road, you can still follow all the action online. Friday's match at Sonoma State will be covered by live stats. The game Sunday at Humboldt State will be covered by live video and live stats.

SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES: Sonoma State enters the fifth week of conference play with a 6-1-0 record (9-1-0 overall). The Seawolves are coming off a weekend on the road where they saw Humboldt State and Chico State. SSU defeated both squads, with all three goals coming from different individuals.

SERIES HISTORY: UCSD has a successful history when playing against Sonoma State. The Tritons have swept nearly every season when playing the Seawolves at the Division II level, posting a 15-0-1 record.

SCOUTING THE LUMBERJACKS: The Jacks look to rebound after a disappointing weekend, losing to both No. 13-ranked Sonoma State and No. 8-ranked Cal State Stanislaus. HSU currently sits at 1-5 entering this week's competition.

SERIES HISTORY: In the teams' last meeting on Oct. 21, 2011, UCSD cruised to a convincing 5-0 victory at Triton Soccer Field, bringing the Tritons to a 9-1-1 series record against the Jacks at the Division II level.
