LA JOLLA, Calif. - UC San Diego women's volleyball players Danielle Dahle and Sara McCutchan have added more postseason honors to their resumés as both were named to the Daktronics All-West Region Second Team Tuesday afternoon.

Dahle, a freshman outside hitter, leads UCSD in kills (409) and points (466.0) and is second in service aces (25) and digs (324). Among California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) players, she ranks third in total kills, kills per set (3.68), total points and points per set (4.20). Her 1,210 attack attempts are the most in a single season in school history, while her 409 kills rank fifth. The La Mesa native has recorded 13 double-doubles in 2012. Dahle has totaled 10 or more kills in 22 of 30 matches played and 10-plus digs in 17 matches. She posted team season-highs with 26 kills and 31.0 points in a win over No. 18 Western Washington in early September.

Last week, Dahle was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) West Region Freshman of the Year and was tabbed AVCA All-West Region Honorable Mention as well as All-CCAA First Team. She was named the CCAA Player of the Week on Oct. 1 and selected as a San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month for October.

McCutchan currently leads UCSD in attack percentage (.307) and blocks (114). The sophomore middle blocker ranks second on the roster in kills (292) and points (370.0) and is fourth in the conference in total blocks and blocks per set (1.03). In addition, the Irvine native is sixth in the CCAA in attack percentage and 12th in total points. Sixteen times she has recorded a hitting percentage over .300. McCutchan's 114 blocks rank ninth on UCSD's single season list.

McCutchan was also named AVCA All-West Region Honorable Mention and was selected to the All-CCAA Second Team.

Finishing at 20-10 overall and 15-7 in the CCAA (fourth place), UCSD earned a trip to the NCAA postseason for the seventh consecutive season. The eighth-seeded Tritons will take on top seed BYU-Hawaii in an NCAA West Regional quarterfinal on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 9:30 p.m. (Pacific Time). The Seasiders are playing host to the Regional at the Cannon Activities Center in Laie.
