Wyatt Blue was named an Assistant Athletic Trainer at UC San Diego in August of 2013.

Prior to joining the Athletic Training Department at UCSD, Blue worked as the Performance Medicine Therapist for Cirque Du Soleil and as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the Las Vegas Pain Relief Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

While working for Cirque Du Soleil, he provided coverage for "O" at the Bellagio and the Beatles LOVE at the Mirage in Las Vegas, Nev.

While pursuing his master’s in kinesiology, Blue was a graduate assistant at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada from 2010-2012. He worked primarily as the athletic trainer for the women’s volleyball team while also assisting in coverage of all 18 Division I intercollegiate sports.

Blue also spent time as an intern at the United States Military Academy (Army) in 2010, working with the football and men’s and women’s tennis teams.

He received his start in the industry as a student-intern at the University of New Hampshire while pursuing his undergraduate degree, working primarily with the men’s basketball, football and men’s and women’s cross country and track teams.

Blue is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and holds a certificate in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS). He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and also serves as a preceptor for the San Diego State University Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP).

An avid CrossFit enthusiast, he is a certified Level 1 CrossFit trainer.

Blue received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of New Hampshire before earning a master’s in kinesiology with a focus on sports medicine from UNLV.
