Not long after, the Tritons took home the 2017 UC Cup after a comeback rally that edged out UC Davis in the final leg of the race.

To begin the season, the Triton women placed fifth in the Open 8 at the Row For The Cure . At the San Diego Fall classic, they placed a boat in sixth at the Open 8 event also. Most recently, the women beat out Humboldt State, Orange Coast College, UC Irvine and Long Beach State to capture the 2017 Berg Cup in Orange County.

After the Classic, the UCSD men will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., where they will once again vie for the Kerr Cup on April 15. The women remain on the West Coast and travel to Lowell, Ore., for the Covered Bridge Regatta on April 15.
