Four Tritons Earn IRA All-Academic Accolades

BOSTON - The University of California San Diego men's rowing team had four student-athletes receive Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic honors, the association recently announced.

Senior Bryan Brennan, senior Sean Callaghan, junior Victor de Cos and sophomore Alexei Sebald each earned the honor.

To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a 3.35 cumulative GPA, have completed at least one year at their institution, be a letterwinner and also have competed at the 2018 IRA National Championship Regatta.

A total of 302 student-athletes from 28 member institutions were recognized, as de Cos made the list for the second-consecutive year.

Brennan is a mechanical engineering major at Warren College, Callaghan majors in human biology in Marshall College, de Cos is a biochemistry and cell biology major at Revelle College and Sebald majors in general biology at Sixth College.
