The 2018-19 season is Michael Chadwick's first as a volunteer assistant coach with the University of California San Diego men's and women's swimming and diving programs. The accomplished swimmer also currently competes as a member of Head Coach David Marsh’s professional team, Team Elite.

Chadwick earned a spot on the U.S. National Team in 2015. That same year, he helped Team USA to a new team record in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay.

The next year, Chadwick continued his impressive career, taking part in the Olympic Trials. He also competed in the FINA World Short Course Championships, taking home a gold medal in the 4x50-meter mixed medley relay, two silvers in the 4x50-meter freestyle relay and 4x50-meter mixed medley relays, and a bronze in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay.

Chadwick studied at the University of Missouri, graduating in 2017. With 22 All-American distinctions, he is the most decorated swimmer in the school’s history. Chadwick also qualified for the FINA World Swimming Championships in 2017, ultimately earning the gold in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
