Lauren Green was named a Sports Performance Analyst by the University of California San Diego Intercollegiate Athletics Department in the fall of 2018.

Green came to La Jolla from the East Coast, where he worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Brooklyn Nets. With the Nets, Green was responsible for administering resistance training programs, collecting and organizing sports science data and assisting the front office and coaches in prospective player assessments. Additionally, Green was the sports performance lead for the Long Island Nets, the G-League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets.

Prior to working with the Nets, Green spent a little under three years with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in the organization before transitioning to the Latin American Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. While in those positions, Green created and implemented resistance training programs along with new player education programs for speed development, strength training, nutrition and sports psychology. 

Before working for the Dodgers, Green was a Strength and Conditioning Intern at the University of Denver, a Sports Performance Coach with Impact Sports Performance and a Personal Trainer at Fitness Together. Green began his career as an Assistant Baseball Coach at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. 

Green earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from St. Cloud State University. Following his time there, Green earned his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Concordia University Chicago.
