Assistant Coach
Experience: 1st Year

A former UC San Diego standout, Beth Mounier was named the team’s video coordinator on July 1, 2019.

“It is great to have Beth back at UC San Diego as our video coordinator,” said UC San Diego head coach Heidi VanDerveer. “As her former coach, it was special to have my sister, Tara VanDerveer, mentor Beth as she started her coaching journey. I am sure her experience working with Stanford Women’s Basketball will prove invaluable.

“Beth is very passionate about basketball and you can feel her love for the game as well as her love for UC San Diego when you talk with her. She will be instrumental in our success this season and as we transition into the Big West.”

Mounier returns to La Jolla after spending one season as an intern at Stanford under head coach Tara VanDerveer.

"Working at UC San Diego is a tremendous opportunity for Beth," said Tara VanDerveer. "She is extremely hardworking, positive and knowledgeable. Beth understands basketball and will help in every facet of their program.

"While it was great to have Beth at Stanford, I am happy for her as she moves forward in the coaching profession."

Mounier was a three-year standout for the Tritons from 2014-17, earning All-CCAA First-Team honors as a senior after averaging a team-best 12.8 points per game. She was also a three-time CCAA All-Academic honoree.
