Assistant Coach

The 2019 season is Jeremy Clark's first as an assistant coach with the University of California San Diego men's soccer program.

Prior to coaching the Tritons, Clark was the academy goalkeeper coach for the Minnesota United FC of the MLS. In his role, Clark was the goalkeeper coach as well as an assistant coach for all academy age groups. 

Clark previously served the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos as their primary goalkeeping coach from 2016-18. The Gauchos compiled a 10-7-3 record during Clark's first season, qualifying for the semifinals of the Big West Tournament. The following season, the Guachos again qualified for the tournament semifinals while compiling a 1.33 goals against average.

During his time in Santa Barbara, Clark also was the director of goalkeeping for the Santa Barbara Soccer Club. 

Prior to his tenure in Santa Barbara, Clark spent time coaching club teams. He served as the director of goalkeeping at TNT Soccer Club in Lansing, Mich. and the head coach of Indiana Fire Juniors South Club.

Before his club stint, Clark held an assistant coach position at the University of Evansville, where he earned his master's in health service administration.

Clark began his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Michigan State, where he received his bachelor's in sociology. During his time as a student-athlete, Clark helped the Spartans to a Big 10 Championship in 2008. His top season was his redshirt senior season, as he played every game, recording a 0.94 goals against average and an .802 save percentage. 

Clark continued his playing career competing with the West Michigan Edge, Kalamazoo Outrage, and Chicago Fire of the USL Professional Development League. Following that, Clark was the team captain, starting goalkeeper, and assistant coach for the Detroit City FC of the NPSL.

Currently, Clark holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) B coaching license.
